Which torx thingie to remove seats???
I've been trying to remove the middle row of seats from the car with limited success. I'm using a torx T50 but it seems a little too small and a few of them have slipped & stripped a bit. I assume I need a T60 (do they do T55?), anyone know if this is correct & whether this is the sort of thing I can get at B&Q or local motor factors???

Doing a bit of prep for Tunisia. Taking the two back rows of seats out & fitting the load platform that JMC had in when car was a van. Means I can build a box for storage crates straight onto that, plus have proper tie down facilities for spare wheels & jerry cans. Also i can bolt the engel fridge to the floor. Tryng to avoid that "wonder when the stuff is going to land" moment! Basically a van with windows!!!

PS as my car will be I pieces, t'other one will be with you Monday.
Don't forget the battery connections before you start, don't want an airbag joining you and the T50 "To finish first, one first has to finish ...."

For removing middle & rear seats??? It's just 4 bolts per seat, nowhere near any airbag stuff, unless I'm mistaken. No problem disconnecting battery from now on!

And ensure you secure the EGR valves in case they slip
He's not doing it on his own, so no point in winding the poor lad up......
John - sounds like you will be doing my (old) car properly at last.....
Cairns Blue - hard to fault and beats Black/Buck every time The older I get, the more I realise that people confuse wrinkles for wisdom

Forgot about how much I liked it the last time it was clean.

Well to confirm the non wind up merchants info it was a T50!!! I'd previously been using a T45 from the cheap & chearful Aldi bit set! Just goes to prove right tools for the job, sorted! Good excuse to get a proper tool set from Halfords (Advanced rather than the cheap rubbish I used to buy).
Many thanks to JMC for helping get the seats out and the load platform in!!! And Mrs JMC for bacon, black pudding, egg and home made bread (oh for a drool emoticon!).
And at the risk of upsetting a few here I really, really liked his FFRR, van or not!
