Stick, that will look like a gradient tint, front to back....
Had mine done today in limo tint (5%) at Midland Tints at their new place and very pleased with the results. The guys did an excellent job, no problems and the only interior trim that has to come out is the rear door window frame and they release the top of the door card.
Bit odd watching them fit the boot area and tailgate to the outside first! This is to get it all trimmed and 'shrunk' correctly so can be fitted easier from inside in confined area. Took about 3 hours in total.
I ended up making the first round of tea's as they got on with the job (Note: avoid the 'tradefair' African tea, its akin to ground up sawdust.... )
Will get better pics as, unbelievably, it is too sunny here to get a decent pic 8)

did you go limo on the tail gate also?
just wondering how much visibility you get through the limo level from inside out?
is it possible to see much through it or are you more reliant on wing mirros now?XC90 T8 R Design Pro

They are not black from the inside, think people get the wrong idea....
Pic shows looking from drivers seat and from passenger side to show difference between standard glass and the 5% limo tint. Taken at 4.30pm in bright sunlight.

I also got the limo tints on Stornoway. although it is dark when trying to see out day or night. Rear view is non-existent at night but I like it.
If I was to do it again, I'd maybe get a lighter (not much) tint on the tailgate to aid rear-view

Lol - If Ben had £1. for every person that has called a friend or sent a worried text a that point, he would have retired already "To finish first, one first has to finish ...."

Can't agree with JKP as in daylight it makes no difference at all IMO, easily visible out of, as my earlier pics show.
At night its like looking permanently through a rear view mirror that has auto-dip/anti-dazzle function on. No problem at all if cars have lights on, as they should, but any lycra clad eco warriors on bikes with no lights had better watch out as they could be just a tad "invisible officer".
Not found it an issue and I have to reverse my car into tight spot and did it fine in the dark. Glad I had the limo/5% tint on my black car
90BHP I was 'nearly' one of the many with a nervous disposition about me but guaged my question in the manner that "you are doing them on the outside first cos' it's easier later............aren't you.......?" the thought 'cowboy', 'exit' and 'going.....now' never even entered my head.....

Your not the first and wont be the last.
Anyway, my limo tints are a good bit darker than yours going by your pics. Different manufacturer probably and different specs. I don't have the same visibility that you have. In my previous D3 I had a heavy smoke tint which looked like the ones you have.

Sorry JKP, didn't mean it 'like that'
Not sure how much darker they can get as mine are 5% transmission and 'black' to look at from outside but as you can see in daylight they are fine from inside.
Agree that night means you need to apply more caution in 'double checking' as sure it will be easier to miss something

I have limo tints in mine, it makes the inside of the car quite dark from 2nd row back, my passengers seem to like it and it makes it cooler and they say they can get a better kip on a long journey
