Whistling Expedition Roof Rack

I've fitted an expedition roof rack, which is great. I expected more wind noise but there is a whistle that is a bit annoying as I can hear it above music, anyone have any tips for quieting this down?

I don't have a whistle with mine. I guess you may need to check everything is fitted ok and no gaps etc.. D3 07 SE - still going strong
D3 07 HSE - gone to car heaven
FL1 - gone to Romania
D3 05 HSE - gone to a divorce diet
D1 V8 manual - gone but not forgotten
RR Classic - gone to car heaven

Jeeps, Lexus, X-trails... Too many to name..

I attached a rubber strip to the rack that sat at the front, between the rack and the roof and the wind noise was significantly reduced Smile

the proSpeed racks have that rubber strip at the front between roof and rack presumably for that reason as well formerly Disco3Ben

The rubber strip is a great idea - I'll try that! Where did you get rubber that thick?

I think it was from an 1/2" deep rubber Anti Fatigue mat ...long time ago now Embarassed
