Will I have to drill a hole in the roof? |
|
Iam thinking of buying, a pair of roof bars.
The question is do I have to drill the roof to fit them?
Or are those plastic clips, that hold the black plastic trim to the roof, fitted into the fixing holes.
Also the last thing I want to do is take the roof lining down, to fit any nuts to the bolts, if that's the way they are fitted.
If someone has fitted these rails, would you please tell me how it's done.
Thanks. Land Rover Dicovery 3. 5 Seats.

You dont need to drill holes. And as it happens I have some roof bars for sale
Oh and I have the 'cut' trim so you can keep your original trim intact. In the Beginning there was nothing, which exploded.

The roof rails need no drilling but you will need a hobby saw to cut the plastic trim. This is so the front part of the trim fits under the rails and continues forwards down toward the windscreen.
No need to remove the headlining either.
Fitting instructions for LR accessories can be found here
