Windows fogging up with heaters on?

Hi all,

My windows started digging up today after a bit of a downpour I have the exon turned off as I want the engine to warm the car now, any idea why this is happening and fixes for it?

Cheers,
Sol

I may be wrong, but I doubt having the aircon on or off will make much difference to the engine warming up. The fogging up will be from turning the air con off and on as the air starts to become more humid with it off.

My AC is on all year round, set on auto. Just get in the Disco and drive it sensibly until the engine is warmed up after a few miles. Or use the fuel burning heater whilst having your morning cuppa. Thumbs Up

Could be a sign your sun roof drains are blocked, check for wet carpets, set the heater to a lowish temperature 20c and the vents to fresh air, not recirculating, zircon off shouldn’t take more than 2 minutes to blow warm air. Never change mine summer or winter. Thumbs Up
 It can when others can't,
It will when others won't,

A/c on will mean the engine actually warm up quicker as it has more load on it, do not forget the a/c does not work below a certain external temp anyway, 5 degc rings a bell?

Have a look under your carpets for water, not floor mats but the carpet under the mats.

Air con does works all the time when switched on albeit as a dehumidifier at lower temperatures Thumbs Up

Steamy Windows (not of the Tina Turner variety sadly) generally only happens with me when the weather has been pretty damp and the car's been sitting in it. A few miles down the road though and it's all tickety boo.
