Seemed that water ingress was caused by not replacing the lower clip on the A pillar. Water was coming in trough the pollen filter. Autotaalglass replaced all the clips and putt an extra layer of siccaflex around the inlet.
Today we had quite a downpoor, everything kept dry!
Now i only have to sort out the light and rain sensors, wich seem to be a lot less sensitive...

my glass has more chips than actual glass now.
Phoned admiral who put me on to Autoglass. Lady says they will replace with a Pilkington glass which is the same, but doesnt have the LR stamp on it.
Am I being had or is this the norm ?James favourite hobby is writing in the third person.

If it is a Pilkinton Optikal windscreen it is the same as your original. The Land Rover oval is printed on screens supplied direct to Land Rover. The AA fitted mine, and a very good service it was, they told me I could have a LR supplied replacement if I wanted one but it would cost me a lot more than the £75 excess I had to pay.FFRR Westminster TDV8

Deep joy but I am needing a new screen after a flying stone on the M1 yesterday.
On looking at the screen on the inside just above the mirror I have seen the black box as depicted in the picture. Does anyone know what it is? Is it connected to the alarm??

I had a non LR screen fitted 4 years ago by Autoglass. Great service and no issues. Its a personal thing, but for me, if the glass is the same quality and covered by a warranty, then my life is too short to worry about it.New Defender L663 110 SE (known as Noddy!)

Mystery solved - I have found out from Autoglass that the little black box is a "defogger" for the screen. If you have one then you need a replacement screen with an additional bracket to accommodate it. Another good reason to go OEM on the replacement screen.

I have a new windscreen fitted tomorrow by AutoGlass boys.
He reasurred me it will be same a the existing/original one. New one should have Land Rover logo on it he hold me and took extra time to come he told me.
Any thing else i should watch out for?
Is there something I have to be aware of?
Fitting tomorrow morning...Disco 3 HSE (55) - gone

If it has the LR logo it would have come from a dealer, if it has been sourced by Autoglass from Pilkington or its supplier the LR logo will be covered by a rectangle, only LR sourced screens will have the LR logo.

MUST fit new clips to the finishers

Autoglass guy arrived with this!!!!
He told me it was the office who ordered the glass and it was nothing he could do. Today he placed an order for the OE LR one. He already mentioned I might pay extra for it as insurance (AXA)might not have OE screen as standard replacement part!!!!
They will contact me today when they will have it delivered and possibly fitted.
So games begin... Disco 3 HSE (55) - gone

Anyone had a replacement screen through NFU and how were they re Pilkington screen or getting a LR one (Pilkington with a LR badge) and getting it fitted at the dealer? They have two level seats of excess, £50 for their chosen fitter and £70 anywhere else so hopeful I can do that.
