Got NFU/Autoglass replacing the D3 screen on Thursday. Deffo Pilkington according to call centre chap, and new clips. Will make sure though.

Autoglass are due this morning, just been out to sort car out ready for its minor op. Will check its a Pilkingtons screen when he gets here, if not will wave him goodbye.
Bit nippy outside though, +1.5c, hopefully that won't cause any issues.

Oh well, that was going way too smoothly!
Fitter turned up with a non Pilkington/LR one, checked as soon as he pulled up. So said "hang on a mo" and he made a phone call. Glad I checked before he started stripping out the old screen, LR screen now on order (no extra cost for NFU policy holders ) and will get it booked in again once it's in. Will be a couple of weeks delay but not an issue.
PS Fitted says they fit new A pillar external trim, as well as clips. Now that'll be handy if I can hang onto the old one with the RAI mounting hole.

New LR branded screen due if from the dealer along with both A pillar trims & clips. Booked in for next Tuesday.
PS Good job too as SWMBO has banned me from using the car til the screen is fixed. She thinks it might be illeagal. It ends just above the key blade.

Doesnt look as bad as the time a drug crazed junkie had several attempts at smashing through the windscreen of my Mondeo with a large rock. That was a bit harder to see through on the drive home D4 GS 12MY

I keep telling her it doesn't affect my seeing what's on the road one bit but I'm still banned. Still look on the bright side, I have to drive the D4.

Only regret is that I forgot they took the scuttle panel out, I could have ordered a new one to replace the well scratched & faded one. New A pillar trims all round, old ones saved from a trip to the tip, and new clips. And proper LR screen too.

Just got to tidy up where the RAI was. She does look a bit naked without it.

Sorry to Hi-Jack this thread, my my heated screen doesnt work for a 4 inch bar infront of me.
Does anyone know if this is covered under my windscreen insurance excess as all I can seen to find in the available blurb is re chips and cracks?05 V8 HSE Bonatti Grey

That wouldn't be covered by insurance as it's just faulty.
