So the air con stopped working a couple of weeks ago and when the disco was in for MoT today I asked them to have a look, apparently it’s the compressor that’s gone (all gassed up etc). There are a few on ebay so my question is if I buy a second hand one there seems to be lots of different part numbers, will any one fit? It’s a 55 plate discovery 3?

Its one of the hardest jobs you can do on a D3 if you use a secondhand one you dont know how long it will last and might need to do it again in a years time.

I had one fitted a few years ago and the guy who did the job said he dropped the front diff out and then you can get to the compressor? Still a pain though 😱 new ones are around £300 or more and a second hand unit is a lot less, I take your point though 👍🏻
