Wing mirrors will not adjust (both side)

Hi,

Looking for some guidance. I have a 08 plate Disco 3 GS, so basic spec. So no electric seat adjustment. Never noticed auto dip on wing mirrors on reverse and don't think I have folding mirrors. Basically I have a poverty spec car.

Both wing mirrors would not adjust one day - but the fault could be old as I am the only driver and adjust them rarely.

I am using the little joystick correctly, i.e. twist to the left for left wing mirror, etc.

I have searched on the forum and every post seems to relate to the driver side seat memory module. I don't have memory seats, so does not seem relevant. Checked under the drivers seat and no wiring seems disconnected etc.

Checked the following fuses based on guidance on another thread and OK based on a continuity meter test on removed fuses:

Fuse 46 (30A) drivers Elec seat main supply from battery (via link 18E (50A) in the battery fuse box)
Fuse 54 (5A) drivers seat memory functions
Fuse 33 (5A) mirror movement motors (but if this was blown, you would also lose the PRND display illumination) **auto only

Any guidance, suggestions?

Thanks in advance,

Adrian

ignition I needs to be on

on basic models it's all about fuse 33 behind the glovebox.

If this is ok, then you need to remove the switch and see if you have power on the green wire with purple stripe. (ignition I on)

If you do, check the black earth wire.

Next it's probably worth replacing the switch
