Nope, still stuck at a static 13.6
Hang on every post I see regarding v8 fuel consumption reckons 20 is easily achievable and thats the reaon they didnt bother with the diesel
On a steady drive with the V8 you can get 75-80MPH at a shade over 2k RPM. 20 MPG is doable. But my average is about 13MPG given that it's used as a run-about and seldom gets its legs stretched.PAGODA

Of course in the U.S. and U.K MPG figures can't be directly compared. In the U.S. a gallon is equivalent to 7 UK pints because UK pints are 20 fl. oz and U.S. pints are 16 fl oz.
I'll let you do the maths. It doesn't make 13mpg much better though !

For us in the civilized world using SI units, a US gallon is 3.785 liters while a imperial gallon is 4.546 liters.
I get roughly 12.0 l/100 km when driving long distances. Currently consumption is closer to 14.5 l/100 km when driving mixed roads and speeds. I fill up using random 95E10. I do not put additives or snake oil in the tank. I calculate using Road Trip, not IPC. 8)
Learned to keep track of this s..t when I had the rusted caliper/caliper piston last spring. Didn’t notice it at first since I didn’t track consumption. Finally noticed it when the wheel was hot as and the whole vehicle shook when driving ......

If you don’t like , want or can’t afford (delete as necessary) to run a 3l V6 Diesel then sell it and buy a Jazz. 2014 MY Discovery XS Indus Silver. Sadly gone. Second last LR of forty eight years continuous ownership.

Incidentally SWMBO’s new Jazz Sport CVT with 1.5 engine goes like a rocket now that it is well run in. Surprises a few boy/middle aged racers on bends and take off at lights. Although I do it responsibly. 2014 MY Discovery XS Indus Silver. Sadly gone. Second last LR of forty eight years continuous ownership.

Will look at getting one of those in a couple of years or three. And keep the old(ish) one for new pups.

Not going to be for a year or three, our plans wouldn’t work with pups.

Over the last 2 days, have driven c 900 miles, Reading to Bellingham (Hexham), a day driving around Kielder Forest, and a good few hours of lanes this morning, 26 mpg average.
