Depending on your alloys' certificates, you might be supposed to get same size AND same tread on all 4 wheels. It does make sense after all, it's a 4x4 driven vehicle. Unless you want to give your centre diff some extra exercise, that is.

From the looks they are almost the same, though. How old are the back ones?

Maybe you want to rotate front to back more often to get an even wear, then changing all 4 at a later stage instead of running down the front and then buying just two replacements, and shortly after two other replacements.

^^^^ Tom - We dont have that regulatory issue in the UK. You could, if you wanted to, fit 4 different tyres on each corner.

I have Verdes all round on my summer alloys and I must say I am impressed at how well they are wearing.

So when I went back to collect my vehicle the sales manager had got Zero's fitted so that all four matched.

Verde and zero are pretty much the same tyre, are they not? I thought Verde is the updated tyre?

Either way both are LR approved tyres.

I’m running 21” verdes on the D5. Seems a pretty good tyre, even on wet grass they seem to grip pretty well.

I've only had Scorpions in 18", but I find them to be great when they are new, but as soon as they wear to about 5mm they start to 'tramline' badly, following every groove and change in road surface.

I had two sets of Scorpions on my D3 and they were good for grip and noise but poor for wear. Changed each set at 16 k miles.
