Wipers ;-((

My Discovery 4 2014 front wipers failed .......... after numerous frustrating phone calls to Landrover Assist ...AA turned up confirmed that the wiper park switch had failed. Car got towed away .... to LR garage .... they tested car ... guess what they are working arghhh ............. so now i am stuck with the prospect of a car with wipers that could fail at any time................. has anyone else had anything similar.

My theory is the switch somehow got water ingress ............ and the process of the AA pulling the car up a very steep ramp onto the trailer ... drained the water away ............???? MY 2015 Se tec SDV6 auto

How much for the switch? If not a lot change it anyway. It's only money, if you don't spend it Corbyn will take it off you. Thumbs Up

ha ha ............ switch is integrated into the motor ..... so whole new motor assembly! however, garage have reported that wipers are now working .......... I think scuttle may have filled with water and wetted the switch and electricals ............ we think when it was hoisted at 45 deg onto waggon it emptied the scuttle enough to allow switch to dry out........ MY 2015 Se tec SDV6 auto

United Kingdom 2010 LR4 3.0 TDV6 HSE Auto Izmir BlueLR4

Mine failed on 2010 model back in about 2013. Very hairy drive from Reims home. Motor failed and had to be replaced under warranty. d4 HSE
