Wont start - Special Program Fault??
Hi, car has been idle for 1 month, and -7C last night. Tried to turned over 2 or 3 times this morning, then felt like the battery was flat. Hooked up a VW Polo to the battery and go this weird clicking / wont start. There is a message right at the start of the video about a Special Program fault - and the airbag2 light flashes?. The airbag red light clicks as Im trying to start. Maybe a airbag fuse gone?

Hi,100% i would bet its a battery issue.
The cold weather probably killed an already weak battery and the CCA from the vw polo will not be enough to start the disco im afraid.
The HDC message/special programm warning is nothing to worry about.
My suggestion would be either buy or borrow a CORRECT battery for the landrover and try again. These beast use AOLT of power to start and run properly.
Good luck and keep us posted.

Thanks timmyt. Which battery do i need? I plan to replace it tomorrow morning. I've looked on halfords with my reg, which offers up a halfords own brand AGM115 (with start/stop)? or a Yuasa HSB019 Silver.
I dont think I need (want?) start-stop technology? Thanks for taking the time to respond.

Had similar issues in the past and a replacement Yuasa HSB019 has done the job brilliantly. Has been effortless over recent cold period and no errors.
SPMods so far:
New wheel winch
Instrument upgrade (clock on dash)
D4 fascia + Garmin nuvi
LED side light, interior etc
New FL2 rear wheel arch seals
Parrot MKi9200 hands free kit

As mentioned,get the Yuasa.
In fairness i got mine from Halfrauds and it failed within the warranty period and they swapped if for a new one without question so got to give them credit for that.
Plus i have a trade card which doews bring the price down considerably.
Good luck and im sure it will cure your issue.

Thanks so much for the advice - just put the Yuasa 019 into it (from local Halfords) and it started first time and all the warning lights now disappeared! Brilliant!

Great to see ur all sorted along with getting the yuasa 019 , like many others also have the same battery and very pleased with it
Mine lasts roughly 4 x weeks if not used , if I’m not using the landy for a few weeks I’ll plug my CTEK charger in via the 12s socket
