I don't believe it, someone has managed to alleviate me of my roof rails and rubber rain strips!!
What kind of cheeky B......s have the balls to bring a pair of step ladders and then spend 10-20 mins unscrewing them, what kind of society are we turning into!
What is even more annoying is they have also taken the rubber blocks that fit under the rain strips in order to fit the expo roof rack, I suppose I can count myself lucky I didn't have the expo on at the same time otherwise I would be inconsolable.
I have spoken to Nick this morning who has given me a very good price for the replacement rails and strips but apparently you can't purchase the expo rubber blocks on their own, If anyone can let me have dimensions I will try and get some made at work

Now that is cheeky, they spent the time to nick those , obvious it was shopping to order and with the cost of OEM parts n accessories it may come a more common problem.
Hope insurance will cover it though.
I think MarkW bought a cheap Expo from a dealer, but needed to make the spacers n fittings. Drop him a pm, or do a search as thats how he did it.

I woiuld imagine that it's not wortth putting through insurance.
Maybe you can get the security head bolts to fit when you replace them?
Thanks Jason I will do a search and see if I can get the details,
It's not worth bothering with the insurance as the excess is nearly the price that Nick has quoted me I am now trying to find some tamper proof screws to fasten them on with!! It's either that or i'll try and destroy the heads after i've fitted them.Disco 5, it's not every man's desire, but a connoisseurs choice

Or use allen headed bolts and fill the socket hole. Depending on the size and type of head required I may have some and you are not far from me"Never keep up with the Joneses. Drag'em down to your level. It's cheaper".

Minimum I would do is Loctite the bolts, it may not stop them, but enough to slow them down next time, if there would be a next time.
gits. Is this country coming to this, and the worrying thing about it is that its probably a fellow D3 owner, who canny afford the parts.
Thanks UNG that's not a bad suggestion I think I have some 'molecular metal' or epoxy putty somewhere in the garage, now it's just where!
The standard screws that come with the rails are a Torx head so I could just fill those with the 'tutty'Disco 5, it's not every man's desire, but a connoisseurs choice

And it's not just LR products that this scum are stealing from, but reporting it to plod seems to be a waste of time had loads of calls from them asking me how well did I feel my crime report was handled but no interest in actually looking into solving the crime."Never keep up with the Joneses. Make sure you do something to stop them, they will wait for you to replace them and then come back again. It's a common thing for the little to come back.

Has anyone got a wiring diagram and route for connecting the roof rails to the battery to give the little a nice shock I believe that every human has a finite number of heart-beats. I don't intend to waste any of mine running around doing exercises.
