Wrecked door mirror

Had slight accident this morning and wrecked (powerfold ) drivers side door mirror. Sad

Doesn't seem that easy to find a replacement tried all usual suspects on google and ebay. Approximetely how much is LR part from dealer?

Is it easy to fix? - my DIY skills are limited to changing bulbs/ oil filter.
Might just get dealer to do it as v.little time before off to France on 28th.

Hi!

I wrecked mine 2 weeks ago. The stealers in Norway quoted £800 ! for parts(£700) and installation((£100).

I have a RRS, but i believe they are identical on D3.

Anyhow. I ordered a new door mirror unit(£149) + mirror( from famousfour.co.uk(£30), and installed it by myself yesterday.

I used under one hour. The tricky parts was removal of loudspeaker cover(release from top), unfastening of wires x2 (spring release) and installetion of the mirror on the mirror unit.

I did not need to remove other panels, with help or small hands you should be able to do this by yourself.

I've got a drivers side and a passenger side in my garage.
They are secondhand, and I bought them when my wife broke ours on our old D3.
Ended up trading the car before they were replaced.
Make me an offer...........

Just to refresh this old thread...

An ar*ehole in a white van took out my drivers door mirror yesterday and I'm looking to spend as little as possible on a replacement. Mine is a 2006 D3 TDV6 HSE. Mirrors are black, grained plastic finish with fold.

If anyone has a spare mirror or can source me a new one at a reasonable price I would be grateful. I need the complete driver's side assembly, including the glass.

noizeman, I would advise starting your own 'Wanted' Thread.. People may scroll half way down the last and see that a few had been offered already before they get to your post.. I only looked at the dates after reading your post..
