^^More than likely because they're trying to restrict sales of it, and make it exclusive to main dealers!
(Which in my experience isn't unheard of!!)

Had my first service on my13 d4 at Cambrian landrover Aberystwyth top class
And only £254
I asked for a litre of oil to top up if needed I live about 60 miles away.
This is the oil for my d4 @ £9.20 + vat
Sorry to say that this bottle is wrong in specs.
Must be 913C (better 913D) if not DPF in your car, or 934B if DPF
The picture is not so clear, but I think that i read C3

There is a Morris oil that meets C1 but that is not it.
However the C3 oil pictured meets the Citroen spec for the engine when fitted to a Citroen and I am running C3 in my XJ
I have noticed no difference
And Morris oil is a good quality British brand

As my last post
The C3 is indeed not correct but will do no harm
It doesn't take being a Land Rover dealer to read the handbook
And I am happy to run C3 as it is my decision
But your garage should have provided C1 which is slightly more expensive than the C3 you have pictured
Both are good quality oils though

So for a MY14 I would need a C1 spec as below
http://www.shell.co.uk/gbr/products-servic...-5w30.htmlMY16 HSE Firenze Red Loving it
MY14 XS (Gone and missing it like mad)
Firenze Red
Remote FBH (Beanie)
20" 510 style with Scorpions
19" 704 style with Duratracs (Once the winter comes)

I'm a Morris lubricants retailer, and in a DPF D4 you need the C1 5/30 Oil, non DPF, this is fine, in my D4 13 plate I use c1 and change it every 4-5k
