As the Xenon headlights can quite simply be changed to point left or right for foreign driving, as I have read about on the D3 forum by means of moving a level inside the rear of the light unit, does this suggest that original Landrover LHD Xenon light units can be fitted to RHD cars and then adjusted suit uk needs?

On the RHD Xenons the lever inside operates a mechanical shutter to cut off the raised left hand edge of the beam pattern which illuminates the pavement & left edge of the road, as a result, when set for driving on the right it results in a flat topped dipped beam pattern which wont dazzle oncoming drivers on either side.
I believe the LHD Xenons are the same but opposite with the raised part of the beam to the right.
So the short answer is "not really", they would work as you suggest but the dipped beam pattern would be wrong resulting in slightly inferior road illumination, but worse, could also be an MOT fail.Clive

We're planning a tour in Wales with the whole family, this summer. I'm not such a technical guy, but could someone post a picture of the headlight lever and where to find it. It would be stupid to have to go to the dealer to do this for me. Thanks.HSE Diesel, Automatic, Tonga Green, Alpaca Leather, 7 seats, SatNav.
