Xenon to Xenon/AFS/cornering light upgrade on a D4

Hi all,
New here, I have been browsing and can't seem to find an answer to this - some might get annoyed as it has probably been covered and I simply can't find it Big Cry
I have a 2010 D4 HSE with "basic" xenon lights.
It is fairly easy to find xenon/AFS/cornering units for a "reasonable" price, but it is a simple as "plug and play" or would I need additional wiring/module?
I understand the CCF might have to be modified - it is the case when upgrading from halogen to xenon, but is it the case too for a xenon to xenon/AFS/cornering upgrade?
Any help much appreciated, thank you.

There are some posts on here that go into the detail of this http://www.disco3.co.uk/forum/search.php?s...rch_time=0
Summary: if cornering lamps are fitted on the unit then yes they can be configured by CCF and I have these working on mine. AFS is an altogether different challenge requiring a new loom and kit and a very complex install apparently.

The link does not work - but so it is possible. Contacted the local dealer (Caffyns in Lewes) who could not give me a price, said they'd have to see the car...
Can anyone direct me to someone who could do that for me, preferably in the South East?

Hi there, search link updated Embarassed

the AFS install thread I was thinking of is here http://disco3.co.uk/forum/topic44435-75.html and if you click on my Xenon install link in my sig I reference a few other installs for info ccf settings etc..

So, when you have the updated light units purchased, its just a case of a local member coming along and helping out with ccf updates - or for a bigger install of AFS run it by geoff. (note fullstop) who may be able to help.

good luck Thumbs Up

I doubt your dealer will be able to help. Most of the CCF editing stuff you see on the forum to enable things cannot be done by a main dealer.

You may not have many replies because it is generally accepted as very difficult to do (although possible) and time consuming. You will need to source at least the AFS control unit and a lot of wires and connectors that then have to be hand made into replicating the missing AFS wiring loom.

I'm learning that the hard way Laughing
I thought they were advertised when I purchased the car but I never checked Embarassed
That said, I noticed that the fuses (49 and 50, 5 Amps) were in. Are they on all cars wether or not AFS is installed?

Could someone confirm (or not) that these fuses are present in a D4 without AFS and cornering?
