XENONS OR NOT TO XENON ?

Hi, I have got the chance of getting a pair of disco 3 xenon light units and want to know if I can bolt them straight on to my disco 3 S, the reason I'm asking is that my local dealership seems to think that it's not so straight forward as just bolting them on, I think that they are telling me this so they can try and stitch me up with a costly retro fit job.

Any advice would be greatly welcomed

Dave.

Hi Dave,

I believe that you can just replace them your self, no need for the dealer to be involved. See the following thread for more information.

By the way welcome to DISCO3.CO.UK

Hi Dave, a very warm welcome to DISCO3 Very Happy

Have a look over:

But the upshot is that the Xenons are a direct swap for the Halogens, no expensive dealer retrofit necessary Rolling Eyes

Are they on ebay as I know a few of the guys are after some Xenons? The forum members have a kind of unwritten rule not to bid against each other on ebay (if that's where they are) Smile

Either way they are a straight swap (although not possible with adaptive units), I just did it and they are well worth it !!

Xenons well worth the time energy and money, and as everyone else said, so long as they're not adaptive, they're a straight swap. Just check they're aligned either on a wall, MOT station, or dealer.
