XYZ sensor

i have a 56 plate manual, and around the 2000rpm mark, 4th gear , accelerating , i get a fluctuation in the revs of about 500 rpm,( other gears as well but in the higher rev range )

if i happen to change gear during one of these surges, the orange handbrake warning light sometimes comes on, causing the handbrake auto release to fail, the gear indicator to be delayed and the reversing lights to not come on. It's fixed by doing the XYZ recalibration routine, but its done it 4 times or so in the last year.
The clutch and flywheel have been changed within 15k miles, its had a remap and the egr's blanked.

Do i need a new sensor??.....is it a doable job ??? or am i totally wrong ?.....

TIA

I might to totally wrong but it sounds like you have a problem with the clutch. I’d get a mechanic to take a test drive.

Your symptoms are from a slipping clutch.

I've had the same -

I'm not convinced its a worn out clutch though. See this thread.
