End of Discovery Journey š„²
A pretty sad week ahead, after more than 18 years of Disco ownership, 2,3 & 4s, itās time to move onto something a little smaller and hopefully lighter on the pocket to run. Iāve had my 2016 Landmark from new and itāll be sorely missed but with retirement plans first and foremost along with what we actually need from our main car, itās time to change whist late D4 values are apparently high.
Sadly thereās nothing in the LR line up that fits the need or that I want to spend my money on. Iāve driven D5s and Defenders but still too big and expensive for what we actually need for the foreseeable. The kids have flown so just swmbo and me to worry about nowadays.
Iāve sourced a lovely, 2021, low mileage Volvo XC60 Inscription Pro, B5 Diesel Hybrid with every available option, in my favourite colour of Denim Blue / blond interior. Whilst a total change Iām sure it will transport the two of us in fine comfort whilst easily towing the tin tent.
The first trip will over to the Arisaig area on the West, next week, a decent test š¤.

A sad day but you've got a cracking replacement. I loved my XC90 in Denim.

I'd normally say "you'll be back", but from a 2016 Landmark there is only compromise in the LR fold, and none of it cheap.
You can, of course, continue to visit the forum. The only exception, with hindsight, would have been if we'd barred Skoda owners. .

Sorry to see you go but Volvo is definitely the way forward, I've owned 6 of them and they've all been excellent... Ill keep a look out for you on the sunny hills of Aberdeenshire
Re Skoda owners... I'm waiting until he has the first issue with Skippy then we can all shout "strip it !" in a very loud voice.. I want to see the sweets before I get into your windowless van... I'm not stupid!
