SWMBO took the car out earlier and on her return complained that the steering was very heavy.
Have just checked and when applying a little pressure to the wheel in either direction the wheel starts to very slightly rotate in one direction then the other and there's an unusual noise from the column.

Anyone got any experience of loan cars thru Warranty Direct? I have the Luxury cover.

And so six days out of warranty and six days into a new WD warranty I realise I made a huge mistake not going with LRA. So the problem turned out to be the seals on the steering rack. Merely a couple of £'s+VAT each for the seals...oh and £156+VAT for labour
Picked the car up yesterday afternoon and happily made my way home, except that half way home...limp mode...so back to the stealers. Thankfully my lift was still in the vicinity and came back with me, so I left the car running outside the main entrance and left with my lift.
Turns out it was a dirty exhaust temperature sensor!
So questions:
1. Has anyone else had these steering rack seals go at 3 years or 75k miles?

I have had the seals replaced on two occasions on my MY12, not sure if it was the same seal each time or a diffrent one, but there is signs of a similar issue occuring again, all covered by warranty.MY17 D5 1st Edition Namib Orange
