[For Sale] Discovery 3 2005 HSE £2,400 ono
Hi all.
After several years of happily owning a Discovery 3, I am now at a point where it needs a new home and as I’ve used this forum on many occasions over the years for help and advice, seemed the logical place to look to sell it.
Short version is I’m looking around £2,400 for it. It’s a 2005 Discovery 3 HSE with just under 190k on the clock. Comes with a detachable towbar (which I have used to tow our caravan I would say about 12 times), Sat Nav, rear drop down DVD player, front heated leather seats, heated front windscreen, 7 seats. Only thing that doesn’t work as it should is the aircon, but other than that, everything does what it should do. It has Falken Wildpeak AT tyres which I didn’t have fitted that long ago so plenty of life left on them. Its never been used off road and its had quite an easy life really.
I’ve done basic service work myself and oil changes every 6 months just to make sure it keeps ticking over nicely, but used a local LR specialist for anything else. Had new air compressor and one front suspension strut fitted August last year and it just had a new intercooler, work done on prop shaft and rear anti rollbar linkage (which was an MOT fail and I just said to my guy, fix it all for me). Had the best done by Land Rover at about 70k and had then done again by my LR guy about 3 years ago. I’ve got lots of service history documentation and all the MOTs…. Don’t get me wrong, its an 18 year old vehicle so it has got some scratches and marks on it and a few things on the inside, but still a great motor 👍🏻.
It has the sport style grill on the front and I took some of the orange out of the headlight cluster so it uses silver looking indicator bulbs with glow orange.
Clearly I’m biased, but if you are after a decent Disco 3 that’s been looked after then you will have great motor with this one. Still drives well and looks lovely and I’m really only selling as I have had to change to a van for work.

Isofix car seat, Isofix baby seat base, crushed carpet crisps, sticky leather seats (next to Isofix car seat), upgraded front rubber cup holder things, wired up USB charge and audio for my iphone, side steps, de-tango'd lights, H7 OSRAM Nighbreakers, LED side lights, LED reverse lights, clear repeaters, Narpy Grill... tools I don't know how to use.... yet..
