It stops the climate control using the Air Con........saves fuel by not having the Air Con pump running. 8)------------------------------

As I understand it there is a clutch in the air con pump which when in Eco mode reduces the effort needed to turn it thus saving fuel.

Yeah it turns off the Air Con.
Probably most useful if it's failed making a noise
or if you are very low on fuel.
Can be used in Winter, but the AC should be run now and again

Daughter used the D3 to go to work when it was snowy, she used the econ button! And it did work for the better 8) I've never used it.Mantec sump guard.
Prospeed tree slider/steps.
Flack duel battery system.
18"Compomotive/AT3 tyres
Brembo 4pot front brakes
The A/C pump has no clutch but is a variable displacement, swashplate variety. The econ setting cycles it at 5% to keep the seals moist.
