Restricted performance
Hey guys had a red triangle displayed this morning and error saying restricted performance. Car just when down on power. I've been out to it again after driving 15 miles and the error has gone but not driven it again yet.
Anyone shed some light on this
Inlet manifold perhaps. My MY11 D4 has just had the N/S one done at about 112k miles. The O/S went at 90k miles.Front Runner Rack, OEM Ladder & RAI, Tuff-Trek Foxwing, B'rakhah Ingonyama Expedition Trailer, RLD's Spare Wheel Protector, Bodsy's Bars, Empty Pockets! Not for me to comment I'm afraid. Some on here will tell you I couldn't tell a spanner from a hammer!!!
My local indy charged me (or Warranty Direct) £650+VAT when I had mine done in July.Front Runner Rack, OEM Ladder & RAI, Tuff-Trek Foxwing, B'rakhah Ingonyama Expedition Trailer, RLD's Spare Wheel Protector, Bodsy's Bars, Empty Pockets! Member of Gloucestershire & Worcestershire 4x4 Response.

ok some can some carnt. I probably get it done at a garage to be fair. Just so much easier. Just really depends on what's involved.
Might be worth another test drive. I could drive for miles without any issues and then, as you make a demand of the engine such as a long uphill, lights and messages come up.

previous D4 did this as I set off on last year's race across Europe ... stuck in slow traffic on M62 and not many options but continue driving. Stopped at Sandbach services and turned off for 5 mins (as googling suggested others have done) and it never came back on nor did performance get reduced.
You might be equally lucky.

Well drove home from work as anything was ever wrong. No errors performance was perfect. How strange

Yes you can look back at previous fault codes generated.
If it does it again have a go at what Flack suggested in the link.
A valve repair kit is around £70 from Dan at Duckworths- I'm waiting for a new one to arrive as mine still sticks intermittently.
