I reckon the smaller one was original judging by the way I had to take it out , used a hack saw inside the arm and cut the left overs into sections then it out with a chizzel , pressing the new one in was a doddle at least

The old girl is on her third engine...
* first ran a bearing (design failure in original engine)
* second had a failure of the water outlet on top of the engine (pls check yours)

If you mean close to where the drop link connects ? No its just oily muck , i had planned to pressure wash the area off before doing the work but never got time too , my bad
