D3 turning over but not firing up.

Hi all, had my 07 D3 now for almost year n half with no issues and use it as my daily driver.
Went to use it on Boxing Day and as described above it was turning over but not firing up.
It had almost a full tank of fuel (100% I put diesel in as well).
The night before I accidentally left if unlocked and my two keys have dead key fob batteries (happened over three months ago).
Usually I unlock the passenger door, press the unlock button on the dash then put key in barrel and it normally starts.
During the cold spell here in UK it always started. I tried the tip of warming the grey sensor at the front of the engine and still no luck.
Called out breakdown homestart and they tried for an hour without luck. No engine fault codes with his computer plugged in.
Think I’m gonna have to get it recovered to Essex 4x4 in Wickford, Essex in the new year.

Any thoughts it could be the immobiliser as both fobs are dead? Don’t know if there’s anyone Essex based on here who can supply/recode fobs?

Any assistance is appreciated. I don’t own a code reader.

Cheers

Mike

I doubt it’s keys.
But when you turn the ignition on, ensure the flashing red light goes out.

I would check the front belt cover for cracks or things trying to escape (on drivers side)
Though thinking about it, it’s probably not that thankfully

Either replace the key fob batteries or try charging them by leaving them next to (or on) a toothbrush charger. Also put your battery on a charger for a day or so. At least by doing this you’ll have eliminated these two possibilities.

If you know of anyone local with an IID then try looking for fault codes using that as it’s LR specific rather than generic.
