how many stop/tail lights from HIDS4U do I need? |
|
looking at thread
http://disco3.co.uk/forum/topic88398.html?...lights+led
im spending £££ on all the exterior light and new hids bulbs, but im unsure on how many stop/brakelights leds i need as there are two apatures per unit and im sure both of them are lit with the lights on.
tbh ive never really followed my own car to remember, im not getting the fogs done as per Ian rightly says, they are never on, but without me going out in the SNOW (yey) where on the cluster are the fogs?, is it the most lower part, rectangle?
or am i just being thick
also I want to replace the yellowy H7 main beam/spot light (ive got adaptive xenons with cornering lights)
whats the best bet
i see they do a led version but not road legal (IF) i were to use these will the light output match the halogens..

I had the same in the address fied tonight when ordering, PLS or something. It's not in the email order so shouldnt confuse the postie.
Re the high beam lights, gone for the Phillips X-treme Vision +100% H7s. HID4U don't have them in stock when I looked so got them from Amazon, £20 a pair.

thanks Guys
on the LED for healights - despite the Chinese trying hard and now offering LED bulbs that they claim are as bright as the 55w halogen - the beam pattern will be wrong and you will glare everyone - plus you will not see much
The leds are perfect when we need to fill the light housing or can do a direct pattern like inside the car - the headlight bulbs they cant get for retrofit despite what they would like to think - and i would love to sell them if they could

I swapped my rear lights (2 pairs!), side lights, reversing lights and all internal lights and they are fantastic - all from HIDS4U
Very happy customer

I have gradually replaced all my bulbs (except the indicators which are next) with HIDS LED's
The interior is so different using the 9 LED type but the biggest improvement is the OSRAM D2 CBI that Ian recommended. They have transformed my driving on dip beam giving a clean, crisp, white spread. These are in the xenon adaptive cornering lights
We live where there are no street lights and putting the 9 LED units in the puddle lights has been very useful and you can see where you are putting your feet - useful in the country!
I used the 92 LED for tail and stop lights and upgraded the fog lights with H11 and sidelights with 501 type. All match with white lights now. The same 92 LED is in the reversing lights and gives so much more light.
Thanks to Ian again for his advice on the upgrades. Even SWMBO noticed the difference on dip, so is happy again. 2 x D3's (Twins)
