Water in passenger footwell |
|
I know there are many posts relating to this subject and Ive read loads
Most blame the water on the sunroof drains so I thinking mine was the same I dried out the footwell and taped up the sunroof until at such times I can do the repair. I also replaced all clips on the A pillar.
Now after more rain the passenger footwell is full of water. Now what.
I need your help slen

If the pollen filter is dry then its the windscreen trims.

if the pollen filter is dry its probably the windscreen trim . it seems the rubber washers on the clips go hard and shrink slightly that then lets water in . when mine leaked i replaced the clips and put a blob of silicone sealer on each one . it cured it . 2005 discovery 3 tdv6

If it still leaks you may need to remove the front gutter covers in front of your roof bars. Its rare but i have seen small rust holes under the covers.

I guess this would show some dampness in the headlining somewhere and that's all dry.
I checked the AC drain and that secure I'm running out of options now slen

Mine does the same - the sunroof drains are fine. Does anyone have a picture of where the windscreen clips are and where to silicone please?

Had an issue trying to find my leak, it ended up in a dealership in Stockport and they apparently found it to be the door seal, I never seen anyone had this but worth a look I suppose. I think the bill was around 80 quid for the deal and labour was around 500 quid because it took them so long to find. 2015 D4 HSE Loire Blue

Sorry just looked and cant find it myself.
You need to remove the locating pin at the bottom and cover the hole with tape then put silicon around all the clips
