UK Government supporting UK industry?
The French get away with it - problem is our government won't stand up to the EU.

They have trialed the X5 dont think it will be a goer....there was talk that the load space was not big enough (for the doughnuts )
I raised the question recently to the Man at the top about Disco's and supporting the British economy, whilst not directly stating it's something the HA should be doing. In the next breath I'm told we should look at increasing the fleet to 50% Discos.
Unfortunatly there are quite a few people in the HA who have the thought that the Disco is unreliable based on preconceived idears..... much like I suppose if someone reads the Disco 3 forums...a lot of the comments are negative..... how many people on hear say what a great car its never let me down.

The other 50% are going to be Nissan's
If that is true I can be sure which 50% of the fleet will break down

Dave, the existing X5 was considered unsuitable, however BMW are not far off launching a new police spec which has a greater payload specifically targeted at HA

interesting about the X5.
So a fleet of Disco's and X5's maybe??
Perhaps the lease price for the X5 will be less in the current economic climate?
Im not sure what is going on with the fleet at the moment....it's all very starnge that the Disco is going at so low mileage.

simple LR have a sold a shed load of D3's to Lloyds TSB who are now closing down their fleet side of the operation so need to get rid of them, would have thought there is a stock pile of them at Colchester waiting to be commissioned, so best way to get the capital coming back in is to entice HA with new ones at little additional cost
