Rear wiper sweepage
My D3's rear wiper sweep has been a bit erratic lately, so I went out this morning to clean and lubricate the pivot on the rear wiper arm. Job done and, looking back, I can now tell my wife exactly where I've been all day!

Not exactly today but on Saturday I adjusted the fuel computer eco setting in the CCF. It was reading about 12 to 13% high when compared to brimming the tank and working it out manually. Incidentally I also checked the odo reading and it compared closely to GPS/ sat nav readings. It was set at +7% originally so I took it back by 13% to -6%. Done a few of runs over the last couple of days and I'm now getting the same reading on the fuel computer as I do with a manual calculation. Pleased with that. Why didn't LR set the thing more realistically from new though?

Took mine a spin up Preston way yesterday and came back with nice new belts. Good day out and a lot of laughs.
Thanks Flack, Site Sponsor, a grand Job!

Just remember to check your coolant level (as flack recommends)! ....
.... assuming oil and water pump changed.
He did mine on Friday, and although topped up after, two days later was below minimum - just as he warned it might!

Nothing spectacular just changed over the spare wheel for one that had a bit of tyre wear!
Can only conclude that the person(s) who designed the winch arrangement had a grudge against humanity and were thinking of gorillas at the time.Once you have defeated the idiots any job is half done. Pity there are so many idiots to defeat.

carried out a full service, well not full, didn't manage to get the fuel filter changed, might have to book it into a garage to do
kit from Advanced Factors, Castrol oil..
repaired front fog lamps, blown fuse, i suspect the harness rubbed through but will tackle that later.
repaired drivers grab handle, wasn't springing back up, now it does
tried to get the old broken front mud flaps off, will have to try again in the week
replaced the split intercooler pipe.
with the state of the oil that came out planning on doing it again in about 3000,miles time
undercover bolts refitted with copperslip, as they seemed a little rusty.D3 HSE 2.7 TDV6 named Calvin with him stuffed Tiger Hobbes sat in the back

If I can do a fuel filter, anyone can!
Did my 2005 TDV6 from what was posted here, so if you got trouble with it, just ask!
People here will help you thru’, and save you a packet from taking it to a garage.

The original, 2007, battery failed to start the car this week, so new battery fitted. To say it made a difference would be an understatement, no more “special programs off” messages, it even appears to accelerate faster! (Probably an illusion).Simon.

Changed the Auxiliary Belt Tensioner on my D3 last night.
Easy enough job, even managing to take old one off through the fan blades.
Fairly quick job but dropped a socket - so had to drop undertray to retrieve it.
