Last week but MOT'd it with the only advisory being the filled chip in the windscreen - happy with that! Very Happy

New xenon headlight bulbs. Should be better than the candle powered ones which may have been the originals.

Removed the C-Tek charging connector fitted by a previous owner, extended my Ring 8A smart charger with Superseal connectors and fitted a new hardwired charge point.

Today I decided to check on the oil pump on my new Disco as I have had it for about 2 months and thought I should do it.

Good and bad news!

Good news is that it is AB which I believe is the reinforced version and with a 15mm impeller:

Somewhat ironically I need to use brake cleaner to remove the oil so I could see the reference number!

Bad news was that the Auxiliary belt looks worn so I need to fix that this weekend along with the rear sticking brake calliper.

Fitted a new Hitachi compressor this week. All working well and 🤞🏻 the car isn’t sinking now.

Was looking to swap to a Range Rover but have decided to put some love into the Disco and keep it Very Happy

Replaced the alternator.
Suppose I can't complain after 255,000 miles
And as others have said, the 'no charge' light takes an age to go out, giving that horrible sinking feeling.

Had a look at the front L/H side caliper, which is sticking and has caused the disc to become concave on one side Shocked
Lowering the car caused my MB Sprinter jack to violently blow its seal, scaring the pi$$ out of yours truly Exclamation
So, parts cannon will now shortly be loaded with new pads, discs and a caliper. New jack also coming up.

Received some pictures a couple of days ago of how the recommission is going.

It’s a lot rustier underneath than we all expected…

Never underneath a vehicle only on jacks! Fortunately the bottle jack acted like a stand, and the wheel was on, but there was an almighty bang when it bottomed out Shocked
