if a CJB is required then it will be ordered to VIN number
The software and control boxes on it will be to original vehicle build spec so happy box should be ok
if you have had any other "switch on" mods then these will disappear if they are stored in the CJB TLO has left the building.......

Mac
I would'nt be overly worried about the tune
when Betty passed away ( allegedly), Pete kindly swopped the tune to Blitzen FOC, as simple as erasing the magic box and sending Pete the new hello file from the ECU if thats needed at all, no great worry.
On a different note
Betty apparently was resurected from the grave by some , she's been clocking me up a nice direct debit toll charge which landed on my door step last week, then to add insult to injury, when plod checked it out for me, they confirmed its still in my name with irish equivalent of dvla, and has been impounded by plod 21 days ago for , - no drivers licence held by driver, - no valid DOE/MOT, - no road tax, -no insurance, -unroad worthy ( same crap tyres from cast off heap that i fitted to it after crash were still on it), and most likely not going to be reclaimed by driver, due to the fact that name and address given are false.
I've explained situation to plod and they say if after 60days its not claimed they will crush her intact, NO SALVAGE
lots of bits for vultures but in plods custody
and cos I'm still registered owner I can claim her, but need to pay pound fee ( €120 per day)
silver lining - plod felt annoyed over insurance companys attitude and actions over allowing a vechicle like this back on road, and have tentatively, unconfirmadly uttered the possibility of a goodbye visit to help with the grief & perhaps take some momentos , like an engine, or side steps, or xenons, you get the idea
just wondering if it would be worth the effort
Needless to say I've screamed blue murder with those paracitic Fu K's , the insurance co , I understand they need to make a profit, but they screwed me sideways from various angles and then give the other party €2500 for a 1995 renault sceneic with no valid NCT, then sell Betty as crash repairable, for not much less than they paid me, after telling me it was non repairable , leaving them relatively out of pocket very little and then treble my premium for the icing on the cake
Sorry mac for hijacking ur bad luck thread
I needed to vent

I think you need to get Chris Tyler and TFC along for the "emotional farewell", complete with tool kits. I know it's not considered "kind" to say no these days, but no. Just no, ok? And if it's not ok, still no.

Great positive mental attitude The surest sign that intelligent life exists elsewhere in the universe is that none of it has tried to contact us yet.

Sorry Jason, I disagree with you there. The majority of members on this forum have very good, reliable vehicles, so it wouldn't say it's a D3 thing...
I wonder why people visit this site and say that the D3 is always breaking down? The surest sign that intelligent life exists elsewhere in the universe is that none of it has tried to contact us yet.

Why do I get a kind of "Supermarket Dash" picture in my head when you say that of the three of them turning up after being allowed 30 minutes, with air tools a flat bed and a couple of engine hoists Dr. Ian Malcolm:
"Yeah, but your scientists were so preoccupied with whether or not they could, they didn't stop to think if they should."
Transgenic tomato anyone?

I don't think TFC and Chris Tyler would be too impressed with Dale Winton turning up though I believe that every human has a finite number of heart-beats. I don't intend to waste any of mine running around doing exercises.

No, they don't do they? Only some kind of attention-seeking masochist would do that sort of thing. Wouldn't they? I know it's not considered "kind" to say no these days, but no. Just no, ok? And if it's not ok, still no.

I keep looking out of the window admiring the D3 parked outside, wondering when the next time it is in the dealers for repair
