Am I just Unlucky
So I bought my D3 in April last year, and it was laid up from June to October due to Major foot injury. Then its been used occasionally twice a week, and weekends only.
I have had a failed turbo, faulty screen, broken xenon, side strips falling off, technician damage, vac pack failure, oil in servo, N/S/R hub sensor failure, ARB Bushes shot, EPB Module, Rotary Coupler replacemant, Replacement steering wheel, cruise control switches replaced.................................................................
And Now.........................................................................................................................................
Its DEAD , power in Battrey, in fact plenty, ALL fuses are ok
BUT
It looks like a smoulder/small electrical fire in the fuse box behind the glove box. I have had NO electrical modifications apart from towing electrics and the dealer received my D3 earlier saying this could be TERMINAL, and prepare myself for a Non-economical repair, so therefore have informed the insurance company and they both now are liasing.
Not really have now with the product, abismal customer service from LR, and if I get the chance definately will take the money and run.

All sounds like 'Driver error' to me 21 year LR veteran > D2 GS 2003 > D3 S 2006 > D3 HSE 2009 > D4 HSE 2013 > D4 HSE 2015 > D5 HSE 2018 > DS HSE R-Dynamic P300e 2021

I find it hard to believe they will right off a car due to the wiring loom being burned behind the dash. It would not cost more than 2-3 days to strip everything out of the dash and replace the entire front loom. Even at Land Rover labour rates your looking at £680 a day so three days would be £2100 and a wiring harness and fuse box.
If they do write it off be prepared for a low offer
