should i worry a lot about this leak???

i have just discovered leak cacking something under the car.......worried

please share your thoughts, it is fixable under warranty? i hope

I see what you mean now.

Looks (to me) like one of the seals has gone on your transfer case... get it done under warranty.

Thats the transfer case. It should not be leaking at all, if your in warranty, take it in.

taken a couple pill of FUKITOL and will call park Royal service on Mon for sure

Gareth why do you recon it should not leak. Isn't it a LR they all leak somewhere don't they hihi

Mine started leaking from the front output shaft seal, which is what yours looks like. Definitely take it to the dealer, as there isn't a huge mount of oil in the t/fer box - 1.6 ltrs I think. The job involves removal of the complete transfer box, splitting it into 2, and the replacement of these seals:

You're fortunate to be in warranty - mine wasn't and took 2 days! The book time is 6 hours I think, but mine was done by an indy who'd not done it before. In fact it seems not many franchise dealers had done it either, judging by the lack of knowledge or special tools.
