If it's only just started leaking you'll be fine. Mine started off with 2 or 3 drip of oil a day, but got worse quite quickly to the point i had no idea how much oil was left in there. There's some special tools for removal and re-fitting of the seals, and not all dealers have them apparently, but they may improvise. As long as you're in warranty I don't think you need to worry 6 hours of main dealer labour, out of warranty - now that is worth worrying about Previously:

Its easy for a dealer to do.
They have access to all the instructions if they've never done it... its not a common issue TBH from what I know.
My dealer did mine in a morning and had never done one before... was completely OK after they replaced the input seal.

I have had mine done too, book time for the seal replacement is 40 mins from memory, so not a huge job once the transfer box is out of the vehicle. If it is leaking and you have reported it to your local dealer, then ask them to make some time ( ~ 10 mins ) to check the level at regular intervals until they do as has been stated there isn't much in there and it is v ( piddle ) thin and theeeeennn......???

Hmmm, just after 30k service I've noticed couple of oily patches on my drive and that is what I found...
Looks like front shaft seal has gone... Going to book the car in for replacement. Luckily 12 months of warranty still left 8)D3 XS Manual - gone
