Sir,
I was dismayed to see your reportage concerning 4x4's on your front page today. This attack on 4x4's can only be a populist stance on your part to increase your circulation. To quote the Press Gazette "In the UK, however, newspaper sales were down 4.4 per cent last year and over the five years to the end of 2004 have dropped more than 11 per cent." In the pursuit of sales, you have therefore lowered yourself to becoming mere lobbyists rather than taking the morale high ground and reporting the situation in an unbiased fashion.
Has it not occurred to you that your loss of sales is due in part to this stance?
Your future lies in your hands.
Regards SideSlope

Doubt it will be 3 minutes if everyone is in the bank on the same day.
Think about it, no cash going in, do the banks have that much 'cash' available.
Ok keep it for 2 days or a week.
I'm not a financial wizz but surely it would cause major problems to the running of the country.
Would be better than blocking the M25 for a day or the likes, it can do that its self. In the Beginning there was nothing, which exploded.

So has anybody's missive actually been printed in this rag today? From looking at their website, it would appear not.

If you read the smallprint ('scuse the pun) you have to submit your full name address and telephone number before they will consider publishing your submission.....
....this also allows them to 'send the boys round' to sort you out for not agreeing with them 21 year LR veteran > D2 GS 2003 > D3 S 2006 > D3 HSE 2009 > D4 HSE 2013 > D4 HSE 2015 > D5 HSE 2018 > DS HSE R-Dynamic P300e 2021

Does anybody know if the RRS boys had a similar thread? Did they send in emails as we did?

Don't be silly...... There's no boobies in the Independant so they simply wont care.
Every RRS I've seen has had a copy of the Sun open at Page 3 on the passenger seat...... They have the cheek to blame their butlers for this too

I did include all of those details - The Times has the same rule.
Interestingly, I have had letters printed in that particular organ, in the days when they used to print your full address at the end of the letter, and I used to get replies to my letters from saddos around the country, usually written in crayon and covered in dribble. Well, you know what I mean. No longer a D3 owner but still subscribed to multiple threads!

the second guys parents get killed by a 4x4 (hate the term suv) and his commonsense tells him to buy what he feels is right, but the other two give out their opinions based purely on prejudice, I think its about time the people who make 4x4's voice their opinion and display the facts after all it's in their best interest's also. like Gareth said theres a counter quote for all their lame excuses for being deficient in driving ability and having the cheek to dirty my gene pool. sometime ago a car hit and killed some kids walking home from school, yeh it made the news but nowhere near as much coverage or for as long as the fourbie driver who injured a pedestrian near a school. f k them all I say. the Disco was built for a purpose which it serves very well so unless they want to pay for me to have more than one vehicle to accomplish what a 4x4 does then they can get ...... right Ive had me bitch just got torun down and dispose of some used oil in the creek while its dark 8)

just one more thing. I aso ride a motorbike and they too have a stigma attatched to them much like 4x4's but in a different way, but they are far more economical to run than any car unless you own a rollscanardly but you dont see these 20thC hippies wantimg us all to ride them. Why ? deep down they want their heater and aircon and other luxuries which chew just that bit more fuel and I bet they dont even know electricity causes greenhouse gases (now Im being silly) Unless the bigguns find out why some people hate 4x4's this will just go on and on untill some nutcase is elected that sympathises with them and then ?? must go now and sit in the fridge. blood starting to boil over
