2006 Discovery 3 TDV6 HSE Auto Bonatti GreyDiscovery 3

We got a fantastic deal after lengthy negotiations, floor mats etc but on pick up i really did expect a bunch of flowers for the other half.

After we negotiated the deal, the dealer did ask me if i had strong arms because i would have to push the car home, lol. (He wasnt wrong).

To keep it in perspective, when we got our Mini (2nd one, as 1st got nicked) from the local BMW/Mini dealer, we got nothing, absolutely nothing! The tank was nearly full but thats it. When we got our 1st Mini my wife got a Mini teddy bear.

So Mini = no discount, wait 6 months, nothing on delivery. At least you kinow where you stand Wink

Good point Gareth. Looking back on my previous ars the most I've ever got is from the dealer who sold me my D3. Most give key fobs but that's it.

Ford (twice) - nothing
VW (twice) - nothing
Audi - nothing
Jeep - nothing
mini (twice) - nothing but a good view of the sales womens breasts! Why do you think I bought 2 minis
Volvoe - 2 bottles of wine.
RRS - nothing except 1/2 tank of fuel
D3 - already listed

When I picked up my Smart Roadster I thought the fuel guage was playing up, it only said I had 1 ltr of juice. Crawled it to next petrol station & sure enough, I only had one ltr in the tank! B Censored y Mercedes garages, one more reason I did not even think about a Merc, after the cr*p service our local garages give I didn't need any other reasons.

Some dealers rearly don't realise that simple small gestures pay dividends in the long run!
