I have had the same problem - sort of!
Bought my new D3 in March and it was obvious that the removable towbar fitted to the demonstrator vehicle, was going to be too low for my IWT HB510 - ridiculously so. Ran perfectly on the D2. Therefore had the new one delivered with the multi-height towbar. Now the trailer runs perfectly, I also don't lose too much exit angle, but the reversing bleepers pick up the 50mm towing ball. This means that as soon as I select reverse, it emits a constant tone! Taken it back to the dealers three times!! They've pulled the plug, so they don't work (having paid for reversing sensors!!!), they sent it back saying the hitch was too high and then had a go at removing a few spacers. Still no better!! Now - supposedly they are contacting LR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Nightmare. So you had one problem, you solved it by buying the only other tow bar that LR do for this car, and now that has brouht you a new problem! I know that the sensors disengage when you plug your trailer in, but if it it is picking up on the ball itself when you don't even have a trailer connected????
