Snow on roads: MTRs or Scorpions?

Which tyres, MTRs or Scorpions, will be better on snowy roads?

I could be a little biased, but for grip its got to be the MTR's. Hence the mud and snow block pattern. Having done nearly 1000 miles over the last 5 days, up and down the country, i've not been stuck yet. Although on ice once you get 2.7 ton sliding nothing's going to save you.

MTR's are invincible... until they're not... and then you're in the sh*t Embarassed

I have had NO issues in the snow over the last few days on mine

Do the MTRs you get in the have sipes in the tread? If not, you'd be better off with proper snow tyres.

Its a compromise... aggressive tread pattern v tyre compound.

TBH, the standard fit Wranglers are very competent in the snow and ice, so are AT2's and of course MTR's.

Much has to do with the way you drive.

Problem with the conditions we have here is that its so damn variable, no one tyre is perfect for the job all of the time.

Sounds like you must have run out of MT/R's then by recomending ATR's !

My ATRs have performed brilliantly in deep snow and on slippery roads in Buxton in the last couple of days, and they're fantastic on the roads when the conditions are good too. And Glynne did very well on them in the sand in October.

So I guess that would make them the best all rounder.
