| Flat Battery - Light in Boot won't turn off? |

Hello,
After heavy rain last night, the battery was flat in the morning. I jump started and went for a long drive.
On return home after 3-4 hours battery could not start my 2005 Disco 3.
I check the interior lights and all the cabin lights are switched off / on timer but the boot light, interior, stays on all the time.
I have given the boot a good slam, but, can not work out how the boot triggers the boot switch to check here? How does it work?
SO got the battery on charge but interior boot light, the one near the rear glass window, above, is still on.
Ahhhh, any ideas?

Is it telling you the boot is open when you drive it? Must stop buying shiny toys....

Are/is the carpets wet? Carpets..in the foot wells upfront...
That is.. if you have sunroofs.. since you have a HSE, you will i presume..
If the drains of your sunroofs are blocked or broken, they will let a lot of water in the cabin And since the main cables in the cabin will be submerged then, causing potential electrical problems...

Boot light central over the tailgate, or the ones over seats 6 and 7?

Take the globe out until you find the problem. The power comes from an FET on the interior fuse panel, so it either shorted to another power lead or the FET has died.
