LR advise that it requires to be static when moving into D!! However I hae discovered that from parked, start up & go straight to D then move off & it does not ativate - it only comes on if you "stop" ie you have to ove off & then stop!! - not much use if getting out of a tight parking space & want to move forward first!

I had the same problem but having taken it back to the dealer (when my suspension compressor failed) they managed to rectify the problem. Apparently it needs a new 'module'.
It works a treat now.

Yes, I think Martin you should ammend this issue as "Fixed" and put the Technical Service Bulletin number on. TSB Ref. no No.LA413-001, on Land Rover GTR now. I have had this done and it is great.

The rear park sensors require the handbrake to be applied first, select reverse in manual then disengage h/b, otherwise the system does not work! Hence, I crumpled my bumper relying upon the warning beeps!
LR dealer had it for a good day before discovering this and reported back to LR

Tallulah is an 06 manual and the sensors worked a treat up until about a month ago! 70k with only the occassional blonde moment when confused by a bus, wagon or motorbike exhaust note, but now she screams like a good one nearly ever time I select first? And screams until we're above 5mph? Any ideas?

One of the sensors has a short, either in the cable or through damp entering the sensor head itself.

I just had the same fixed; dealer told me one of the connectors had loosened. May be worth a check before going to dealers?

Rear PDC

I went to look at a Discovery today. I tried to use the rear PDC. I reversed up close to a wall and they did nothing, no noise at all from them. I even tried pressing the button on the dash but still nothing. It had no light on the button but not owning a disco yet im not sure if there was somthing I should have done. I am going to have the car but if its not fixed before I get it then I want some heads up. Any help would be great. Ive searched for threads on this but none help.
Cheers guys

ok mine does the same, PDC only engages if the handbrake is off and you select reverse,,,, try it a few difrerent ways,, does it not work in any configuration?

it's Censored annoying that it doesnt just work... but it is a landrover after all and life just aint that simple....

Well Ad, Iv tried it with no handbrake but not with. I pulled past wall then right into reverse to back up to it, no handbrake and pretty much no pause between forward and reverse. I get the feeling the car may have been used to launch a boat, dont know if it is fresh or sea water. Are they prone to water damage?
