Hmmm, looks like we are up against it on this. After a fair bit of digging around on our behalf, the best price Nick at Yeovil can offer is the already negotiated Disco3 20% discount, bringing the price down from £318.44 to £254.75, plus £10.50 p&p. Bless him, he's been all over to try and get it down, but LR say they have good sales volumes on these and won't budge.

Anyone keen to get there hands on one can ring Nick on 01935-476660 or can email him at [email protected]

I wonder how many they actually sell? Apart from D3's belonging to this site I have yet to see one fitted.

Nick was saying the only items LR have done a clearance deal on have been the day tents and the A-bars. With the day tents they just weren't selling, while with the A-bars it's been brought about by legislative changes that mean old stock has to be sold asap. I suspect LR have used their clout with Mantec to dictate that these are pretty much made to order, so no oversupply.

In short, I think you'll have a long wait to get these for a tenner..... Big Cry

Wonder how much longer Mantec's exclusive deal with LR for D3 accessories is due last?

Interesting...... The Safari Snorkel retails at under £200 and is a true "snorkel", replacing the OE perforated trunking from the inside of the wing to the airbox with a sealed system. Granted, it's a pain in the goolies to fit as you need to replace the trunking and it obscures visibility more than the LR one, but you get a more complete system for less £££

Thoughts?

They are if they haven't got the right (e) badging. I don't know the details, but my guess would be that older stock isn't badged up with the right numbers? There was a post on here that gave specific part numbers. I'll see if I can find it.

Think I'd rather stick with Nicks deal.
It's only £55 more and you get the genuine LR article.
Plus it hugs the A pillar better, altogether a much more integrated look.

I suspect the LR on isn't 'soft' enough to meet the new regs, no doubt they'll come out with one that does soon enough The End

Apart from the obvious what other benefits does the snorkel give?
I.E. what is the wading depth, any other benefits, etc.

And before anyone starts taking the p*** I did say apart from the obvious. Very Happy

ND - Not to barge in here, but i was thinking along the same lines re a group buy.
I have negotiated with my dealer a RAI for less than what Nick is selling them for with the 20% discount i.e. less than £254. Shocked

I was going in to see him today (and pick up my also negotiated a-bar) to see if he would be interested in a group buy and see what kind of discount he'd offer - but i got caught up in work and couldn't get in to see him.
Going tomorrow instead. Will ask what kind of cost per unit for 10 and post back tomorrow.
Worth a shot Wink ?
