Can anyone (Alex, Mikey, anyone?) confirm if having the ALIVE remap installed will either cure or go some way towards masking my 2015 SDV6's horrible throttle lag problem?
I've had my car returned to the supplying dealer twice and they have found no fault. I believe them in that there is probably no component/software failure/malfunction but even after demonstrating to them my typical roundabout-roulette (foot pressing throttle pedal, nothing, a bit more, nothing, a bit more, nothing, a bit mo...... whoah, and we're off much later and more briskly than originally asked for!). This is not safe and cannot be right. Yes, I use the car predominantly as a Chelsea Tractor, despite its wealth of capabilities but having to second guess and pre-plan around what the GO pedal might do is a PITA.
If the answer to the original question is yes, please let me know the cost (reply or PM).
Equally, if anyone knows a cure to my car's lag issue, I'd be grateful to hear from you.
The Sdv6 can be rather lethargic when pulling of the mark, almost like you put your foot then the vehicle thinks what it feels like doing and then decides to go. With an Alive remap, improved throttle response is one of many benefits you will see that will help transform the car to suit your exact needs.
I am in the office all day today so feel free to give me a call on 01472 812900 and we can discuss further.

I take it this is still done via splitting the ECU?
The Ecu does need to be opened up on the bench for this yes but it is done with the upmost care and attention to ensure no damage is done and so it looks like it has not been touched at all.

Hi Alex, thanks for this but what about dealer visits please? Can I buy something to take the map off and then re-apply?"UNDERSTEER" ---is when you hit the fence with the front of the car.
"OVERSTEER" ------is when you hit the fence with the rear of the car.
"HORSEPOWER" -is how fast you hit the fence.
"TORQUE" ------------is how far you take the fence with you.

Did you ever get a response to this question In Spain - 2018 F Pace - Down and out's Velar

We do not offer the Atric service for the Sdv6/Tdv6 3.0 as it cannot be tuned via to OBD port so the Atric cannot upload a map file. There is a way around this but we would need your Ecu so we could install a Particular chip that would allow us to communicate via the OBD port but it is a very precise service that doesn’t come cheap due to the amount of focus and time it takes. A remap for the 3.0 Sdv6 is £495 + Vat and can be done at our HQ or at any of our dealers with bench tuning tools.

319 BHP just makes want get a 12MY sooner rather than later there's one for sale for 20k in HSE trim, it's looking ever more promising. The torque must be well up if they can get that horse power out of that engine, is that just a straight map getting those numbers or is there bigger intercooler anything else involved?

I do believe the torque has to be limited as the gearbox is only rated to 700Nm of input torque...
0-60 in under 7 seconds must be a proper giggle in something the size of a Disco My D3 Build Thread
