jetmech i got to ask why do u need a roof box if you're taking a caravan? i always wonder why when i see people on the motorway.
We seem to take a lot of stuff with us on holiday and it's surprising how little extra weight you can put into a caravan before it reaches its maximum.
There were 3 dogs in the back of the car, so no room for luggage, plus 5 people.
I didn't calculate the total train weight, but hopefully the Disco gives me a good margin for error. I doubt that it was legal when we had a Volvo V70 Simon.

Can I join he party even though I don't drive a disco yet? I'll be towing the same loads with it.
2 X IBCs - approx 1400kg each plus the weight of the trailer. Absolutely effortless!

Successfully collected the new boat earlier this week (Despite someone stealing my tow bar last Sunday! )
She weights about 2100kg on the trailer with no fuel and towed effortlessly @25mpg, i think filling her up will make the disco seem cheap with a 160l tank

This time of year I've almost always got something attached.. Horse box, boat, skis, logs.. The best tow car ever. If be a bit lost without it.
Narpy Grill, tinted windows, Smooth leather wheel (TLO Group buy), ACM fitted (thanks TLO), Rear door loom and Row 2 & 3 audio switch upgrade, RRS 20" wheel change, 285 Cooper LTZ's Sat Nav Mod (until I get a Faultmate upgrade), Front & Rear lamp guards. 4x4 screen now switched on - Woody32, Follow me home reverse lights - woody32, Auto release EPB - Woody32. Off Road Navigation - Woody32. Remap + EGR's switched off. Full chassis clean and Waxoyl.
I wish!A vaccine does not stop you catching a virus, or passing it on, or getting ill from it, really ill. It does reduce the likelyhood of you dying when really, really ill. Stay Alive - KEEP AWAY FROM PEOPLE.
