Evening all. Just looking to pick your brains as i've been offered to change my HSE Lux for one of the last Landmarks that my local dealer have on order. Not been in to see them to discuss spec, price etc. but just after some advice from you all.
Having seen pictures of the Disco 5 i'm not too keen on it and the split tailgate of my Disco 4 is a godsend to load and unload without damaging the bumper, especially lifting my basketball wheelchair and hand cycle. My thinking at the moment is to keep 'A' disco 4, whether it be MY15 with 30k on the clock or change for a Landmark.
All opinions are welcomed. Thanks

If he can offer you a colour combination that you like and the price difference is reasonable / affordable, I'd bite his/her hand off while they've still got it!
I even looked at the same thing myself a few weeks ago, even before the latest photos, but while I could have lived with one or two of the colours, they'd run out of Almond interiors. 2011 - 2015: 3 x FL2

My MY16 D4 is so much smoother (gearbox and engine) than either my previous MY14 & MY15 D4's were. I can only assume that the mapping for the EU6 spec. engine is the reason. I notice it every time I drive it and I've done nearly 4K miles now.
Spec. wise, the Lux and Landmark are very similar depending on the options your Lux has.
If it stacks up financially for you, I'd go for a new a Landmark, I did. 2006 D3 HSE (Original & still the best)-GONE

Yes, the Lux in standard form was higher spec.
All Landmarks and Graphites have already been built, so spec. will be pot luck. My Landmark was a stock vehicle, it came with privacy, tow pack, mudflaps and the in car apps thingy (not sure if that was standard Landmark spec.). Some Landmarks and Graphites will have console fridges. 2006 D3 HSE (Original & still the best)-GONE

My dealer still has a Landmark on the demo fleet, I've had a word in my salesmans ear and they are going to hold on to it as long as they can, no promises, I've expressed an interest in it, it's a toss between that and the D5. Trouble is their Landmark is Zanzibar, not a colour I would choose.
If the deal is right I would take Landmark. 23.5MY Defender 90 X-Dynamic SE D250 MHEV Pangea Green

Thanks all for your replys, it will come down to price, spec and colour! Not too fussed about losing the tv's etc, only reason i went for a lux was for the upgraded seats, heated steering wheel and sound system
Colour wise, it will need to be black or waitomo grey, and im guessing that mud flaps and towbar are transferable? (And my hand controls...don't fancy forking out 500 odd quid for another set )
We'll see what the dealer has to say and i may be back for mor help!

Depends on spec. I think HSE Lux will hold value slightly better but then I am biased MY15 DIY Black Pack (Better than factory and half the price!)
Prospeed rock/tree sliders w/steps
HSE Winter wheels
TransK9 B24
Travall Cargo Guard

Any pictures of it floating around? The build your own software on the website doesn't do it justice!

Actually we hang out at club causeway, a much more exclusive colour
Waitomo is a lovely colour, when we decided to lay the extra for causeway grey it was only because corris was a tad too light. Waitomo fixed it perfectly. MY15 DIY Black Pack (Better than factory and half the price!)

All Landmarks have the same TV, RSE and audio package as per the Lux. Also the extended leather and heated steering wheel. Although not the perforated leather on the steering wheel. I think the seats are identical on both models.
With so many cost options available across the entire D4 range, I think used buyers have to decide if they want the higher standard spec models with the panoramic/sun roof or not. Then take it from there on what options are a priority.
I've seen two HSE's with higher spec than standard HSE Luxury models, bar the extended leather. In short, an HSE with every possible option. 2006 D3 HSE (Original & still the best)-GONE
