I've taken the photos but they won't upload to server at moment Rolling Eyes
Head rest is directly opposite shelf edge, so dodgy...

My mistake, just checked Mantec instructions - it doesn't say anything about passengers in 3rd row seats, I was getting confused with Land Rover's instructions on cargo barrier Rolling Eyes
However, as I mentioned the headrest is inline with shelf edge, about 8" gap Exclamation

Photos uploaded to my gallery, won't upload to thread???
I'm 6'1", so my head would be wedged between shelf and headrest Laughing
Maybe ok for small child on short journey, but not recommend...

nicely made piece of kit and easy to fit, only thing I had to do was run a tap through the threads as they had overspray in them which stopped the bolts going through

Many thanks for that TinTapper. It's a certain no go as it'd be a risky business getting into the third row too. Hey ho, will either have to relocate a lot of stuff or reduce the amount of gear I traipse around. Problem is the loadspace is so vast you just keep chucking more stuff in. Or, I could just refuse to act as the 'team bus' for friends and family Whistle

Thanks again for all your help.

Wales 2007 Discovery 3 TDV6 SE Auto Java BlackDiscovery 3

Had mine six months now and only complaint is I had to upgrade the self tappers as they were not long enough.

As to the height. Recently took my disco to the Alps and there was just enough space for my 5'7" teenager but very cramped for a taller adult.

All in all a recommended buy if you're lugging kit about.

I also have the dog guard and the xanadoo 600 and the car is now permanently loaded in summer mode with camping gear. All combined together.. Brilliant!
 D3 07 SE - still going strong
D3 07 HSE - gone to car heaven
FL1 - gone to Romania
D3 05 HSE - gone to a divorce diet
D1 V8 manual - gone but not forgotten
RR Classic - gone to car heaven

Jeeps, Lexus, X-trails... Too many to name..

Remember, there are currently TWO versions of the Upper Load Lugga.

So, when you're discussing how much room there is here or there you need to specify which version you have.

427- Load Lugga Discovery 3/4 for genuine Dog Guard (this hangs the lowest from the roof so you can store taller items)
426- Discovery 3/4 compatible with Travall Dog Guard (or no dog guard) (this doesn't hang as far assuming you may have passengers in the the 6th & 7th seats)

I hope this helps someone from buying the wrong version and getting exactly what you expect.
1998 Discovery LSE - Gold, 249,000+ miles, completely stock
2007 Range Rover SC - White, 63,000 mi
2006 Discovery 3 HSE - Locking E-Diff, Rover Specialties rock sliders, 275/65/18 Cooper STT PRO, LLAMS suspension controller, LR Expedition Roof Rack. Asfir Rear Diff, Tactical 4x4 (Gas Tank Skid, Rear Bumper, and Front Bumper w/12K winch), Traxide Split Charge System, Overland Solar + Lensun Solar panels

Is this the only difference or are there differences in the length ?

Differences are the dimensions of the shelf (space), and then how far down it hangs from the roof.

The 427 is a smaller shelf space but hangs lowest
The 426 is the largest shelf space but is closer to the roof

I have one fitted and at 5' 11" I can't sit in the back. My wife is 5' 5" and her head is touching the bottom of the shelf.
