Yes, I could have phoned young Bodsy for a step by step hand holding guide but where's the fun in that!!

Firstly the remote + gubbins. Looks easy enough to fit, just got to take fuse 2 out in the engine bay and confirm this is where the cable that connects the black box to the car goes? The cable smothered in grey stuff?

Then it's pair up the remote and we are away!!

What can possibly go wrong? Laughing Laughing

Del, depending on how much cab,e they've left on the MY11, it may not reach the normal position on the mounting frame for the receiver. In which case, double sided tape it to the Phone module.

On the MY12 onwards newer ones , it's almost always got enough cable to mount it on the frame. Thumbs Up

Right connected up but not sure if I've paired it up properly. Confused Held the off button til the red lighter went out. Green LED goes on when press on button then flashed green but no firing up. It's warm, 15c, so may be oh strike coz of that.

Thoughts oh techie ones?

Bods, stay near your phone!! Laughing Laughing Thumbs Up

Do the fans come on? FBH may not kick in at that temp, but the heater fans will still switch on if it's been enabled. Thumbs Up

Derek,

After our PMs this morning regarding why our (at least my) parking heat/timed climate wasn't working, I think I have found the reason.

After checking the correct CCF setting on my IID tool, one of the settings on mine was wrong.

I checked my settings against these here:

And after changing the incorrect setting, the manual heat (nav on only, engine off to warm the cabin) started working and the auto button started to pulse and the FBH fired up.

It was however very smokey and seemed to turn off after a couple of minutes. I'm not sure if it now has a fault, turned off as the door was open, or the cabin reached a certain temp, as it was reasonably warm in the sun!

If it turns off before 20mins, you could have a battery voltage issue. It seems very keen to switch itself off even if the SoC of the battery only drops a tiny amount.

On/off remote starts the fans, inside at the mo (can't see if FBH is doing its thing) so waiting on the timed bit to kick in.

This raises the question re remote on a MY 16 that I'm also fitting this to, do I need CCF access for that car on my IID? It's my parents' car so not got my IID paired with it. Confused

OK, with the remote the fans come on for several seconds then the AUTO light on the heating unit flashes. And the FBH is making a noise. Sounds like it's playing.

After a few mins the fan is putting air on the windscreen.
