Rolling with laughter Yup - something's not quite right there...... Wink

So is the flag for residence or nationality? If it's the former, then you need to change it Wink

No! thank goodness Shocked
it was the telephone masts, not sure exactly where it was, but it was for Orange and back in 2000. I would have to get my maps out and check.

My Brother used the Troposcatter system but from the other end out on the rig. As he said:
"Pick a patch of sky, push plenty of kilowatts at it to warm it up, and, some of the signal should get through" Laughing Shocked

Spoke to Webasto today regarding the heater and he confirmed there is no fan control option as it triggered too many system faults. It may be in the 2009 model, but it hasn't been confirmed.

The kit is being produced, but they are revising the instructions before they will release them for sale again. Basically you need to run a cable from the FBH across the top of the engine bay, through a gromet under the steering shaft and then up the windscreen pillar to the timer by the courtesy light.

The timer can be pre-set to warm the car and is not affected by the CAN bus being activated.

Price is normally £110 + VAT, but they will work on a discount for us. They would like us to buy through a dealer as apparently they get upset if Webasto sell direct. I was thinking of asking the Large One if he would be interested in doing this.

Maybe a little word with your local BT workshop may shed some light on what can and cant be done......After all until BT Fleet changed to Vauxhalls all the Transits have Webasto pre heaters in them.

Mine's set for every morning.....if the outside temp is too high it just doesn't start up........BUT if its below its setting.......guess what........nice warm cab with no scrapers needed.

So maybe for all you cold one's a chat with someone at your local BT Fleet workshop may answer some of your questions.

IMHO - having heated seats tends to negate the need for this Whistle
