Should suspension lower when I've left car?

Hi all, firstly it's a 2005 HSE Discovery 3. Two weeks ago after the frost spell my cars suspension didn't rise and I got the attached 3 warning lights on the dashboard along with HDC fault special programs off. The terrain selection dial lights were off too.

We have changed the brake light switch and this has stopped the 3 warning lights coming on and the suspension now rises and the dial for terrain choice is lit up again, however when I left the car it did not lower, I'm sure it's meant to isnt it? Plus sure I could smell burning and little smoke from under the engine at front, seemed to be near front right wheel.

Remove key fob stopped working too but not sure if this is related? Pic below.

Any ideas thanks?

Hiya

The disco shouldn’t drop after u turn the engine off

If ur remote doesn’t lock all ur doors anymore it could be the 3 x green wire splice thats under the carpet by ur passenger side front door , it’s basically where the wires need to be separated , cleaned , soldered or recrimped , also water can also collect in that wiring loom channel

Here’s the link for u

https://www.disco3.co.uk/forum/central-loc...een+splice

Was the burning / smoke by ur front passenger side wing, if so that will be ur FBH kicking in, comes on around minus 6c

Hope that helps Thumbs Up

Ps, hope it doesn’t come across as rude in any way , if u fill in ur vehicle details that can also assist so other will know straight away what disco u have and save u having to repeat it every time

It depends on how level the ground is where you park, my drive has become very uneven with my D3 always being parked in the same spot, now every time I get out the car lowers a little to level it up.

Flack Thumbs Up
